StudioCoast – Celebrating 10 Years!
StudioCoast is proud to celebrate 2012 as our 10th year in the web hosting industry!
That’s right! An Australian web hosting company that has been around for 10 years! No name changes, no gimmicky promotions, no buy outs and no meltdowns! We’ve seen many Australian hosting companies come and go, to the point that there are only a handful of companies still around from when we first began. We pride ourselves on offering great service with personalised support and believe our longevity is a great reflection on the quality we continue to provide.

10 years ago…
- There was no Facebook, Twitter or MySpace!
- Colour screens on a mobile phone!? That’s crazy talk! iPhones? Just hand me my trusty Nokia 3310!
- We were excited to see the new Spider-Man film, George Clooney was the quintessential Batman and no one had any idea who Edward and Bella were (most wish that was still the case).
- Glee was merely a feeling and Arrested Development was just a Hip-Hop group.
- The Euro had just been launched.
- Most importantly Phil Collins had just released his version of Can’t Stop Loving You
We have come a long way from that first Windows 2000 Server and staff member. 10 years on StudioCoast is still an innovative, reliable and affordable Australian Windows hosting provider. Last but not least, we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for our wonderful customers. We’ll continue to strive towards providing the best hosting solution for the next 10 years…and beyond!
The great moustache of 2012 begins tomorrow!
For the past 4 years StudioCoast has participated in Movember. I have donned the Mo in each of the Movember campaigns, and will be doing so again this year…for the FIFTH time! I’m not quite sure who has it worse, the people who are growing the moustache or the poor people that have to witness the monstrocity that will be growing on my upper lip. All I know is that it’s a very small price to pay to help create awareness for Men’s health issues.
Awareness, understanding and funding for men’s health issues, like prostate cancer and men’s mental health, lag significantly behind other causes so we feel as though it’s important to get behind Movember each year. We have also acquired a small mascot this year, so if you’re in the neighbourhood feel free to drop by and pay him a visit and also view the terrible moustache that I will be ‘procuring’!
A percentage of sales from all new accounts will be donated to Movember for the month of November.
New hostControl layout has been unveiled.
We have been working on the new layout for hostControl over the past few weeks in an attempt to make more user-friendly and web 4.0 (is that what we are up to now?). It still offers all of the same awesome features, but now it’s easier to navigate and just looks a little more stylish!
We have introduced a home screen for hostControl which gives users instant access to their usage information and support requests. It’s also a good launching point for new users who are trying to find the basics such as account information, payment options and email accounts. All of the main items have been grouped together to make navigation quicker and more distinguishable.
